Sophia and Calvin Round 2 // The New J-O-B

Yesterday was my first day of training for THE Monday through Friday job. Those sexual harassment and other instructional videos... it's pretty intense stuff! haha I guess they were much more entertaining than lab safety videos. God knows I've seen one too many of those. The only bad part is that the training is way out in SE part of Atlanta and because I'm coming from the north, I have to go through the heart of Atlanta with rush hour traffic both ways. Today, we get play with more studio equipment. That should be fun! :)

I am still going through my roadtrip photos. Those were some really good times! I shouldn't get too carried away with them; I have so much other work that takes precedence. I'm glad that I got a chance to meet up with Sophia on my last day in Boston. I really love how my photography allows me to meet some really wonderful people... and getting to travel is definitely a perk as well! ;)

We got dim sum for brunch! I wasn't prepared for the cold Boston weather, so initially I had myself wrapped inside a blanket, but later on Sophia lent me her sweater after a good number of comments from Steven that I looked homeless. Man, this is some really unflattering light! lol It looks like I have a mustache. Well, it was good memories, nonetheless! :)

And here is Round 2 of Sophia and Calvin's (Houston, TX) photos

Sophia and Calvin - Houston, TX

Junshien and I flew to Houston, TX to shoot Sophia and Calvin's wedding last month. It started with the tea ceremony on Friday, the Cambodian ceremony early Saturday morning, and then the main ceremony. There was seriously sooo much to cover, I just randomly chose some photos to post.

All the girls looked super cute in their clothes!

I think this is my favorite shot. :)

I think the rice throwing part was my favorite part! hehe So fun!

I love how Sophia was always smiling even while she was constantly getting hit by the rice.

Cannot forget about those detail shots.

A or B?

At the reception:

I miss shooting just for the fun of it. I haven't really done much of it since the whole wedding photography business got started. I remember when I picked up my first SLR, I would take it everywhere and I could not stop shooting. Now, all those daily encounters in life are going uncaptured. Time to bring it back.

Remember mixed CDs and mixed tapes? I used to love getting them or making them for people. When did that era come to pass? I found this one while I was cleaning out and organizing my CDs. It's labeled "Coaster".... and rightfully so. I'm still having a hard time tossing it though.

What I ate as a healthy after-dinner snack. No worries. They are completely safe. We picked them out of my parents garden.

This is my fav flower. I didn't even notice that my mom planted one in her garden until today.

This one would be my grandma's most prized flower. It's gonna grow to be taller than me one day.
